Epworth United Methodist Church

A cry for help.

Sometimes, it is overwhelming on a sound room to have 25 years of volunteers.  Epworth is not uncommon.  So far (and we aren't quite finished yet), Peak Audio has re-organized the entire existing 24 channel sound board.  Installed new monitors for the choir, re-organized the entirety of the snake and sub-snakes on stage, added a new amplifier to the existing rack to power the monitor speakers, added a camera, ran new cat6a cable and speaker wire through the attic, and converted an outdated RGB computer feed to tv's to a new hdmi over cat6a setup.  This is a prime example of what a nice cleanup can help with.  Still on the to-do list for this job (which has been very slowed due to Covid-19) is to finish the assignments of remaining channels and install a new floor box near the pulpit so that there will be no more wires running across the floor to trip the parishioners.  This has been a really rewarding job because I know that once training takes place, this church will be in good hands for many years to come.

Challenge

50 years of volunteers running sound and video and a new era of Covid protocols had this church read for an upgrade.  They wanted the choir to be able to hear the piano as well.  Solution: JBL CBT monitors hidden in backside of columns.  Sound board re-label, cable sorting, and new floor box installed to hide wires previously running over the floor in a high traffic area.  Oh, and we ran HDMI over ethernet to the existing TVs, added an HDMI switch, streaming box, new PC, streaming camera, and...probably some other things we forgot.  Turned out great.

Major difference, when you look at the pictures.
