About

Gavin is a wedding industry veteran, with multiple seasons of experience as both a wedding photographer and videographer - and now, as a DJ! His summers are quite busy due to this unique combination of career choices, but he wouldn’t trade it for anything. With that, he’s seen a thing or two, so if you’ve got questions, he most likely has answers. He’s loved the arts all his life and was finally able to figure out a career path that supports that. Frequenting concerts with his wife, singing in the car as well as choir, and making up songs with his kids help support the love for music that has been integral to his life since early childhood. Learning the piano this year has been a fun challenge as well. Working with a wedding couple and their musical tastes is always an awesome journey, and bringing that vision to life is what excites Gavin the most about a wedding day! (He also loves music recommendations, so if you’ve got any, send them over!)

Favorite Venue: Mountainside Weddings - "Gorgeous grounds to explore, incredibly accommodating owners, and great atmosphere out in the middle of the woods, all while having the creature comforts you’re used to."

Favorite wedding moment (thus far): "I love playing a part in special surprise dances that guests have no idea is happening. Whether it’s the couple taking dance classes/working with a choreographer or a fun 'fake out' dance with one of the parent dances that surprises not only guests but the other half of the newly married couple. This happens several times a year and it’s so much fun to have a little secret and see the payoff. It makes the day extra special."

Summer or Winter Weddings: "Summer, for sure! Bring on the long hours, hot days, and giant dance floors!"
